Sum It Up
Any questions that still aren't clear in your mind
The three main concepts that we have learned so far in AP Calculus have been derivatives, definite integrals, and limits:
- A derivative is the instantaneous rate of change. It shows the slope at a certain point.
- A definate integral is the area underneath the line of a graph. It is mostly used to find a certain distance.
- A limit is simply the y number at a certain x point usually shown by a (c) or some other variable. You can only use a limit if the ends of the graph go towards the same (c) point.
Methods:
- Methods for finding derivatives include taking points extremely close to a given point and finding the slope b/n them. Then you just average them out.
- For integrals we have used to useful methods. One is simply counting the boxes underneath the graph and the other is to use the trap rule.At this time i have no questions because everything has been pretty simple so far. But this class will probably get harder but i think i can keep up with it.
